Analyses of Plant Materials

Plant materials analyses determines the nutritional status of the plant and provides guidelines regarding the primary nutritional requirements of the plant. It is very important that the sample is taken at the correct position and during the prescribed growth stage for the plant type. Contact us for sampling- and interpretation guidelines for a wide variety of crops. Please state which Nitrogen fraction is required for petiole analyses.

Samples must be kept cool and sent to the laboratory as soon as possible. Perforated plastic sample bags (supplied by the laboratory) or paper bags are suggested. At receipt, all leaves are rinsed with distilled water; then dried and milled.

You are welcome to use the attached sample submission form. (sample attached)
